  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced small
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 teaspoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • cooked egg noodles or pasta for serving


  1. Add olive oil, green pepper, onion, ground beef, salt, and pepper into a skillet pan. Cook, over medium-high heat, and crumble the ground beef until it's no longer pink. About 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute. Drain the grease from the pan.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, frozen corn, soy sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, and seasoned salt. Bring to a low boil and then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Cook pasta or egg noodles according to package directions. Serve hot goulash over the cooked noodles.
